About Us
P&S Bird is a family run business which was established in the early 1980’s originally as a domestic removals company. Towards the end of the decade the business began delivering polystyrene for Kay-Metzeler and as a result the business then became predominately haulage.
30 years later the business was undoubtedly well established within the local haulage industry, P&S Bird was then in 2015 awarded its Silver FORS certification.
Around 2017 the decision was made to grow the business further and take our operations to the next level. We increased our work load from delivery only to include return loads for several other partners across a wide variety of industries.
We doubled the size of our lorry fleet and now fully own twenty five Euro VI Tractor Units and high volume unique rigids accompanied by a full fleet of mega trailers.
With the long standing and vast experience within the industry, we at P&S Bird pride ourselves and our business with reliability and a personal approach to customer care.

Sales Manager
Anton, our multilingual sales specialist, joined P&S Bird in March 2021, to expand the Company’s sales and business development ability. Anton joined us from a busy role in sales for an international haulier and has brought a wealth of knowledge to the Company.
Geoff
Transport Manager
Geoff has been in and around the Haulage industry for some 15 years, starting out as a 7.5T Multi Drop driver, and working his way quickly from there up through the driving ranks. He enjoyed a period working within HGV Recruitment but returned to being fully fledged within the Haulage industry proper, after qualifying as an international Transport Manager in 2016. Geoff joined P & S Bird in 2020.

Matthew demonstrates the strong “promote from within” ethos that we enjoy at P&S Bird, having started with the company 15 years ago at the tender age of 16, as the apprentice “Yard Lad” Matthew knows every square inch of our yard and storage facilities like the back of his hand. This, along with his experience driving Class 1 vehicles for the Company makes him an absolute integral part of our Traffic Office.
